Post-Workout Smoothie


  • 1 cup kefir
  • 5 whole strawberries, sliced
  • ½ ripe banana
  • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder (optional)
  • 2 tsp. ground flaxseed
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp. honey (optional)
  • Ice cubes


Blend together well, and enjoy!

Other Postactivity Snack Ideas:

  1. Tuna salad (with light mayo) on a slice of whole-wheat toast
  2. Peanut butter and apple slices
  3. Yogurt parfait (yogurt of choice, with fresh berries, shredded coconut, and nuts of choice)
